General Info

Nestled on the owner's working farm, on the fringes of the Peak District National Park, and with easy access to Holmfirth, is Long Ing Farm. This stone-built detached cottage is bursting with character from head to toe, with exposed beams, open eaves and traditional furnishings. The farmhouse kitchen boasts a lovely dining area and a fabulous AGA range cooker integrated with high spec units and sleek granite worktops. A woodburner sits in the lounge next door, adding warmth to those cool winter nights, as the family gets together in front of the TV. Large plush sofas are perfect for relaxing after the many walks you can venture on within the National Park. Just off from here is the conservatory, creating harmony between the interior and outdoor spaces. Take yourself off for a quiet read, or simply enjoy the countryside scenery. There is also a large dining table in this room. Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed and en-suite shower room, a super king-size double with zip and link beds, followed by another double and an adult bunk room. The family bathroom enjoys a bath tub with a hand-held shower attachment. Outside is a sunny patio, a sweeping lawned garden and views across green trees and farmland. This quiet location is convenient for accessing the small town of Holmfirth, which was made famous by the TV series The Last of The Summer Wine. It has lots to offer its visitors, including a wide range of places to eat and drink, walking in abundance and awe inspiring scenery across the Holme Valley. The Peak District offers some fantastic outdoor activities and many pretty towns and villages to visit along the way. Choose this as your next holiday base in West Yorkshire. Read More

Absolutely Perfect!

We loved our week at Long Ing Farm. It had everything we needed. Everything had been thought of...cupboards of plastic glasses for the hot tub, a cupboard full of things for our dog (towels, food and water bowls) bags, even training mats!), loads of books, DVD's, games etc. It was like a home from home with lots of extra finishing touches. It's extremely clean and a beautiful cottage with incredible views. The hot tub and fire pit area are a real treat. Our 3 children loved feeding the farm animals, doing the Long Ing Farm treasure hunt and making animals out of the clay the owners had left out (along with Prosecco, biscuits, eggs etc on arrival). Another lovely touch. The owners are wonderful, so welcoming and on hand if we needed anything at all. We'll definitely be returning again in the future, we didn't want to leave! We highly recommend Long Ing Farm
