Fir Tree is a delightful 2 bedroom holiday lodge situated in a quiet, woodland location at White Cross Bay with private, gated decking and its own hot tub for the ultimate relaxing break. Sleeping four, plus room for an infant in a travel cot, it’s a delightful base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District. When you get back after your busy day out what better than to relax in the hot tub and simply chill out on the deck, enjoying the countryside all around you. The large open plan indoor space has plenty of room for all your gear and space to watch TV together, prepare food and chat. White Cross Bay is in one of the most lovely settings on the shores of lake Windermere, with jetties and a marina and views of the magnificent fells all around. On the Park itself, there is a bar and restaurant with outdoor seating area for dogs, picnic area and children’ play zone. Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, gym, entertainment, bar and restaurant. 500 yards up the main A591 is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with a great way to spend a day with gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek: there’s lots to do! You’re also just two miles from bustling Windermere village with shops, cafes and pubs, and three miles from Bowness boat landings, where the elegant cruisers come in and you can hop on a boat trip. Bowness is a cosmopolitan village with award-winning restaurants and pubs and quirky shops, a cinema and the ever- popular World of Beatrix Potter attraction. Three miles in the other direction, head to Ambleside, another bustling town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and of course, fabulous walks in every direction. Two miles north on the A592 is the pretty village of Troutbeck, home to two traditional pubs with log fires, great food and ales: The Queens Head and the Mortal Man.
