Damson is a modern and spacious holiday lodge at White Cross Bay, in a great position with the lake and marina about 250 yards away, easy for a wander to the shoreline perhaps with a coffee to enjoy the sunrise or a cool sundowner! There is a spacious outside deck with private hot tub and a bright open plan living area inside will give you plenty of space for relaxing after a busy day exploring. The lodge will sleep up to 4 guests in a double en-suite and a twin room, plus an infant in a travel cot and welcomes two dogs. In a glorious setting by the lake, White Cross Bay sits on the shores of Lake Windermere, with views all around to the spectacular fells. From here you can hire boats, swim, take a lake cruise, paddleboard or just relax. Dogs are permitted on a small number of tables in the restaurant. Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, gym, entertainment, bar and restaurant. 500 yards up the road is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek: there’s lots to do! You’re also just two miles from Windermere village with shops, cafes and pubs, and three miles from Bowness boat landings, where the cruisers come in. Bowness is a cosmopolitan village with award-winning restaurants and pubs and quirky shops, a cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction. Three miles in the other direction, head to Ambleside, another bustling town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and of course, walks in every direction. Two miles north on the A592 is the pretty village of Troutbeck, home to two traditional pubs with log fires: the Queens Head and the Mortal man; Holehird Gardens, and the National Trust’s Townend House.
