Beautiful location, and Porth House is a lovely, well equipped property.
Fantastic cottage. Everything you would want and more!
It was perfect for what we wanted, a relaxing break with beautiful views and a log fire. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the future.
Porth House exceeded my expectations and provided a restful week, the views from the upper level are beautiful. The house is well equipped, exceptionally clean and full of maps and literature on the island and north Wales. The owner also contacted us during our stay to ensure there were no problems and suggestions of places to visit as well as good eating places. Well worth a visit.
Second visit to Porth House, both times have been excellent, the sauna and views from the lounge make the property excellent.
A beautiful house with stunning views. The jacuzzi and sauna were great fun for all the family.
The house was in a beautiful spot, was well kept and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Can't wait to go again.
Everything about this property and location is perfect. Will definitely go back again.
Porth House was absolutely amazing, the house had everything we needed, it was very clean and all rooms had lovely furniture and the house was very beautifully presented. The gardens were lovely and tidy. The location of Porth House was amazing, the views were breath taking and it was like looking out at a picture postcard every time we looked out at the view. We had a wonderful holiday and we will return again and will strongly recommend the property and Sykes Cottages to all our friends. Thank you Porth House!
Very well equipped house. Fantastic views and location.
Wonderful! Gorgeous views. House impeccably clean. Tourist information leaflets very helpful. Overall perfect!
Overall it was a lovely holiday.
The cottage was lovely and it was situated beautifully with stunning views. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you needed. It was clean on our arrival so we could start our holiday straight away.
The house was very nice, clean and cosy. The jacuzzi and sauna were a big plus, the scenery was wonderful, and having the beach just across the road with lovely walks made a very enjoyable holiday.
It was lovely to be able to relax in comfort and take in the beautiful view. The amenities in the house were great, the sauna and jacuzzi were a real luxury. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, and the house was clean, with everything necessary for self-catering provided.
The house was perfect. It had everything you could possibly need for a perfect family holiday. Home from home.
The house itself was gorgeous, lovely layout and décor. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. The location was amazing, really pretty area with great scenery.
The location is beautiful and perfect for a quite retreat. The house has been designed exceptionally well with beautiful views 360'
The aspect of the property was outstanding. The views and closeness to a pub with great food was a real bonus. The sauna was a lovely addition as were the welcome gifts. The girls loved the chocolate, whilst I enjoyed the fruit and wine. The log burners were lovely but only used once as the house was so warm.
The house is in a good location and the view was breathtaking!
The facilities were excellent, the welcome was lovely with flowers, fruit and chocolates. The owner of the cottage was delightful and phoned to ensure everything was ok and if we had a query there was no problem about being helped out.
Beautiful house, very well equipped and having the spa pool and sauna was a real bonus and a treat. A superb location, the beaches at Trearddur are some of the best we've been on.
The spaciousness of the property and the fantastic views. The facilities within the property and the fact that there were small details thought of by the owner e.g. cake, fruit, kitchen roll, wine, washing powder etc. The wet room with jacuzzi and steam room.
Fantastic, property; situation; welcome treats; weather. Friendly caretaker & owners.
Great weather, good quality of accommodation with a spa pool. Lovely view from property. Close proximity to beach.
Wonderful location of the house to the beach. Fantastic views. Very peaceful.
The owners were extremely hospitable, warm and welcoming and paid great attention to our needs! The house is in a superb location near the beach, the stuff of childhood dreams.
The owner checked to make sure we were okay, he even arranged a fishing trip for us. We have recommended this property to all our friends. This is a dream home.
The jacuzzi / spa bath and sauna was an excellent added feature - enjoyed by all. The views and proximity to the beach were fantastic.
The house and location were superb! A wonderful place to unwind, exceptionally clean accommodation, with very friendly and pleasant owners. We will be certainly be returning.
This house is fantastic. We have stayed there before and plan to stay again next year. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful.
The property is wonderful. The spa and sauna were loved by us all, young and old. The location is spectacular. The views are stunning. We had a perfect holiday and will return as soon as we are able to.
This house is absolutely brilliant. Every single amenity that you could wish for. Spotlessly clean with the owners highly Covid aware. The sauna and spa pool are wonderful, and again very clean. The area is magnificent with wonderful bays and scenery and sunsets to die for! The views from the balcony are beautiful. Absolutely nothing to fault! We have already booked for next year!
Our first visit to Anglesey, we spent a week in Porth House and had the most wonderful holiday. The weather was very kind during our stay so we were able to make the most of the superb location. Loads of space in the three storey house, plenty of off road parking to the rear of the property. The location is stunning, views over the pretty sheltered cove of Porth Diana and being on the coastal path allows easy access on foot to Trearddur Bay itself with its beautiful golden sandy beach and plenty of places to eat and drink. We were lucky enough to meet Sandra the owner when we arrived (and again with Steve later in the week). Heather the caretaker showed us around the house. We had the warmest of welcomes and Sandra gave us lots of valuable information about places to visit and good restaurants etc. Sandra, Steve and their team clearly take pride in providing a home from home where you can totally relax in comfort. Spotlessly clean throughout (that's no mean feat when the house is right next to the beach!). All the little details are taken care of, we didn't need to take any kitchen supplies, they were all provided, plus pretty boxes of tissues, hand soaps, all towels, face flannels but the best thing was the wonderful welcome gifts of fresh flowers, locally baked cake, chocolates, wine, milk - all very much appreciated, thank you. Very easy driving around the Anglesey area gives easy access to lots of beautiful scenery. The Snowdon mountain range is visible to the rear of the property on a clear day. An unexpectedly sunny day provided the most breathtaking views of the mountain range during a drive over to Llanberis. A visit to the Halen Môn Anglesey Sea Salt Company is a must for the factory tour and shop, I had no idea salt could taste so good! RSPB South Stack near Trearddur Bay is incredibly beautiful and a must for nature lovers of all ages with a great café and gift shop. We visited three times! Overall the quality of this holiday home is excellent. You won't be disappointed and with a spa in the basement (6 person jacuzzi and sauna with double shower area to rinse off etc) - total luxury! Many thanks Sandra, Steve and team, Porth House is a credit to you.
We have just arrived back from a week at Porth House In Treardur Bay, to say we have loved it is a understatement!! The house is beautiful, everything we needed was there, the welcome pack was lovely and the views just spectacular!!!! We are so relaxed, and I had the most relaxed birthday I have ever had. The spa pool was nice after a days exploring and there is so much to explore in the area and surroundings. We have just booked again for next year the week after my birthday this time!!!
We've just returned from a relaxing week at Porth House. I loved the quiet location and the fantastic views from the balcony. The house is clean and well equipped and the spa pool and sauna are great to come back to after a day out walking. The small beach over the road was perfect for a pleasant stroll in the evening. There was a folder with menus from recommended restaurants in the area which we found useful, and major supermarkets are a short drive away in Holyhead.
We had a week's stay in September at the lovely Porth House. When we arrived the house was warm and toasty and we had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. The house is located in a stunning spot, with the sea a stone's throw away. Most evenings it was mild enough to have the balcony door open to enjoy the sound of the sea from the lounge. We managed to have a log fire the night before we left, the rest of the week was too warm for one. It was so homely! I have to be honest the jacuzzi and sauna really helped us decide to stay at Porth House and we were not disappointed! The jacuzzi is HUGE! So relaxing to spend time in there after a day exploring the stunning surrounding area in a beautiful part of Wales. The owners of this beautiful house have really thought of everything. If you like cooking you will find a very well equipped kitchen. The attention to detail is impressive from a golf umbrella in case it rains to a picnic basket if you want to dine al fresco! It is tastefully decorated and a home from home (with a better view!). We have already recommended the Porth House to a friend we were that impressed. This was our first visit but not our last. Thank you Sandra for a great week in your gorgeous house.
Writing this review from the lounge of porth house looking out at the mesmerising sea view and sunset over the bay, we wish we lived here. Daughter and grandchildren stayed over at weekend and now we have the place to ourselves. All have enjoyed the spacious jacuzzi with room for the children to float around in. ( I found the steep step between the seat and floor of the pool difficult due to my arthritic knee but it was worth it for the hydrotherapy.) The sauna is lovely and the adjoining walk in double shower room is huge. The master bedroom is large with a bay view and lovely ensuite shower room. All mod cons including wifi complete this perfect holiday home from home. The photos say it all.
Stayed at this cottage over the Christmas break, however the break was ruined due to power cuts. Did make the owner aware of a few suggestions to improve stay should a power cut occur again as power failures can happen for a number of reasons not just bad weather which no one can predict. Should have been emergency lighting in the basement as it was very dangerous down there, which I was with two young children had to feel our way out. So back up lighting or at the very least torches on each level of the house and a camping stove to at least boil a kettle. The care taker was not there on arrival and we feel to get the best out the house a set of instructions should be available if you aren't going be greeted when arriving. Also just to make people aware that we booked though skye cottages and the after care has been appalling , not to say the advertising of this property is not correct it states a hot tub, it is actually a plunge pool so therefore not hot as we were hoping for. The house is in a fantastic location however and apart from lack of emergency supplies is very well equipped. The views from the lounge are spectacular, and we were considering the larger next door premises for family get together but after the lack of dealing with our issues raised in January and still waiting a reply in march. Will look elsewhere , such a shame people don't take customers complaints into consideration any more.
We had a wonderful week in anglesey, Porth House was everything and more than described on the website. An upside down house to take in the spectacular views. The bubble pool was a bonus great after the sauna to cool down. Visited the local pub/restaurant within easy walking distance friendly staff and good food. Other restaurants within a short car ride.
What a great holiday my family and I have just enjoyed at 'Porth House' in Trearddur Bay in Anglesey. Right opposite a clean safe beach with fun to be had for our four year old and great fishing for us both. The accommodation itself was fantastic, like a ski chalet in its fixtures and fittings but with absolutely every item of crockery and cook-wear you could require for catering for a family! The Jacuzzi (massive!) and sauna were such a luxurious addition but made the week in this beautiful house feel oh so special. We enjoyed glorious sunsets, and the best accommodation in a fabulous location.
Spent a brilliant week here. Everything in this let was fabulous. Lovely open plan living, dining and kitchen are with superb view of the beach. Master bedroom was huge and the other 2 bedrooms a good size. Utility room very useful as the weather was not very good whilst we were there. Jacuzzi and Sauna were well used!! Would DEFINATELY recommend this beautiful house to anyone for a holiday in this lovely part of the world.
This cottage is situated in the most beautiful position overlooking a quiet cove area of Trearddur Bay beach. We found the cottage to be well maintained and very clean with excellent facilities. Trearddur Bay itself provides a number of pubs/hotels with really good food facilities. Overall an excellent holiday for us.
